How to get to Aveiro:

By Air

The two closest international airports are Sá Carneiro (Oporto) and Portela (Lisbon). The first of these is about one hour away from Aveiro while the second is about two and a half hours away (by car or by train ) (http://www.cp.pt/horarios/alfa_ic/p_horarios.html). Courtesy buses from Oporto airport will be provided at hours to be announced.

By Train

Aveiro is located on the main north-south railway line. The railway station is close to the city centre. By foot, the University is some 25 minutes away. It is advisable to take a taxi to reach Campus (Reitoria da Universidade).

By Car

To reach Aveiro by car, take the A1 motorway. If you are coming from the north exit at "Aveiro-Norte", then take the IP5 motorway to Aveiro.If coming from the south, take "Aveiro" exit and from there follow the N235 national road.
